Although the night was bitterly cold, we were warmed by the sultry sounds of Kasimu's trio. This was my first time listening to him (and he's my relative). What electric sounds of John Coltrane, Miles Davis and Horace Silver emulating from the very ornate, but made very cozy hall. I hear that Kasimu is a staple guest. After tonight I can definitely understand why.
The atmosphere was very pleasant. My first time being in the Holmes Lounge. What a great idea. An ornate get away to cuddle warm and cozy music on an icy night. Kudos Washington University -St. Louis
Going to Jazz at Holmes is always an indulgent pleasure, especially if you have the opportunity to gather a few of your friends and meet them there. The mix of rhythms jazz, bossa nova, and tango was an interesting mix. I only missed my glass of wine!
