Join Lindsay Reckson, assistant professor of English at Haverford College, and Phillip Maciak, lecturer in English and in American culture studies at Washington University, join a conversation with Rebecca Wanzo about their new books, which take on secularism in American cultural production, scenes of ecstatic performance in literature, photography, and early film; and the complex interplay of race, religion and representation in the post-Reconstruction U.S.
