Power Lunch & Learn: Advancing Your Career - Power & Politics in the Workplace

Professor Kurt Dirks will lead a discussion based on his popular class “Power & Politics” about the topics of “informal leadership” and how to have a positive impact, without relying on formal power or title. He will review his framework for informal power and lead a discussion with two Olin alums on how they successfully built and refined their ability to lead and influence others throughout their careers. They will also discuss how recent changes in the nature of work is impacting these types of issues.
