Join us virtually this month at https://vencafstl.org/virtual/ to learn about innovative therapies being developed at Washington University to tackle two of our most prevalent chronic diseases – diabetes and kidney disease. Jeffrey Millman, MD will discuss how the generation of insulin-producing cells from stem cells can be used in drug screening and cell replacement therapy with the potential to revolutionize next generation treatment for diabetes patients. Mohamed Zayed, MD will explain an innovative use of arteriovenous grafts as a cell and drug-delivery platform for treatment of kidney disease.
