Getting Here

The week aims to highlight violence prevention initiatives happening here at WUSM in partnership with our regional community.  Students, staff and faculty who attend will learn about the various ways they can support and engage in these efforts and the ongoing work to create a more equitable and inclusive medical campus and St. Louis community.

Life Outside of Violence (LOV), is the short name for the St. Louis Area Hospital-Based Violence Intervention Program. The program helps those harmed by stabbing, gunshot or assault receive the treatment, support and resources they need to find alternatives to end the cycle of violence. Stop in to any event for as long as you can!

The idea behind LOV is to help decrease incidences of retaliation, criminal involvement, re-injury and death. Panelist will share about the program and how to support. Lunch will be provided.
