Leadership Perspectives: A Talk on Creating a Diverse, Equitable and Inclusive Environment

Tuesday, October 27 | 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM

Virtual Event

ACTIVE INCLUSION: MORE THAN JUST A SEAT AT THE TABLE

12:00-1:00 PM DISCUSSION | 1:00-1:30 PM LEADERSHIP SESSION*

Diversity, equity, inclusion. Over the past months, DEI has become a top priority in many organizations. As leaders work on the diversity part, are they also putting enough energy into equity and inclusion? And with more diverse people finally getting a seat at the table, how are they treated once they get there?

Olin alumna Joyce Trimuel, career strategist and professional speaker, will discuss the importance of active inclusion and how it extends well beyond  representation. She’ll address our collective and individual responsibility in creating an inclusive culture and the downside of not doing this important work.

*Leadership Session 1:00-1:30 p.m. CST
Immediately following the discussion, join us for a brief session on values-based leadership with professional certified coach Lara Heberlein, followed by a Q&A with WashU Olin's Graduate Programs.
