Join us for our upcoming Know Your Level of Community Engagement: Compensating Participants. The Know Your Level series is designed to introduce researchers and community members to the principles and practice of community-engaged research.

During this webinar, we will discuss compensating community members involved in research and other community engaged projects — including research participants, advisors and advisory board members, and community partners. Panelists will address the ethics of compensating participants, adequate compensation levels, the process of distributing compensation, and tips for more efficient compensation policies and procedures.

Attendees can expect to: 

  • Learn the difference between research participants, advisors, community partners, and other types of stakeholders who may receive compensation
  • Understand who should be compensated and when
  • Discuss appropriate levels of payment for various participants
  • Hear about the process of submitting, processing, and receiving payments
