This session, lead by previous Packard Fellows, is intended to help new investigators understand the goals of the Packard Fellowships program and learn how to prepare applications for the Washington University internal selection competition. The Packard Fellowships program provides support for the nation's most promising professors early in their careers, enabling them to pursue unusually creative science and engineering research. Applicants are expected to be engaged in research in the natural and physical sciences or engineering and must be within the first three years of their faculty careers (for the 2021 competition initial appointments must have begun no earlier than May 31, 2018, and no later than May 31, 2021).
