The Center for Dissemination & Implementation brings leaders in the field to campus throughout the academic year to offer talks on a variety of relevant topics as part of the Dissemination & Implementation Seminar Series.

Learning Objectives:

  • Describe the global burden of cardiovascular disease
  • Understand the evidence-practice gap in global CVD
  • Apply implementation science to optimize cardiovascular and risk factor care delivery in low-resource settings
  • Appreciate challenges to cardiovascular care delivery and how to translate those challenges into opportunities

Speaker Information

Rajesh Vedanthan, MD
Associate Professor, Departments of Population Health and Medicine/Cardiology, Director, Section for Global Health
NYU Grossman School of Medicine

Vedanthan’s area of interest is implementation research, global health delivery, global cardiology, capacity-building and the intersection of health and development. He is the Principal Investigator or co-investigator of multiple NIH grants, focusing on implementation research to develop and evaluate innovative solutions to optimize cardiovascular and risk factor care delivery in low-resource settings.
