After much thought and discussion regarding the precautions that Washington University is putting into place due to the COVID-19 outbreak, we have decided to make this an online event.

Speaker Information

Sojung Park
Assistant Professor, Brown School

As an environmental gerontologist, Sojung Park aims to expand knowledge of person-environment dynamics that can redress disparities in health and well-being in old age. Park hopes her research findings can be used to identify an optimal fit between aging individuals’ needs and environmental resources, and also to modify and mobilize the right resources.

The presentation was very informative. It was interesting to see how SES and life course factors influence cognitive well-being in our aging population. Dr. Parks talk was very timely. We are beginning to look at life course factors at the Knight ADRC. This talk enhanced my understanding of the topic.
