Global Health at Washington University: Here and Next — Day Two

Friday, March 31 | 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM

Eric P. Newman Education Center, Auditorium
320 S Euclid Ave, St. Louis, Missouri 63110

The 9th Annual Global Health Conference will bring the Washington University community together to highlight and catalyze global health activities which support the Here and Next strategic plan. This is a two-day event on the Danforth (March 30) and Medical (March 31) campuses.

Day two will include presentations from experts and early-stage and senior investigators, panel discussions, a poster session, and an opportunity to have lunch with the experts.

The themes will focus on:

  • WashU-St. Louis-Global Community Partnerships: Recognize the importance of bidirectional flow of people and ideas to improve global public health, both at home and abroad. We in St. Louis have much to offer and much to learn.
  • Environment and Global-Local Health: The world’s environment is changing at an unprecedented pace with direct and indirect effects on global and local health. Attendees will learn about new strategies and approaches developed and disseminated by WashU faculty to mitigate these risks.

All events will take place in person. Due to limited accommodations, registration is strongly encouraged. Walk-ins will be permitted if space allows.

This conference is a collaboration between the Office of the Vice-Provost, Brown School Global Programs Office, McDonnell International Scholars Academy, and Global Health Center.
