https://forms.gle/pKibpdkBjpyYg1jm8With an increasingly interconnected world, we have observed more immediate reactions to domestic and international politics. With each historic event, it is unsurprising that among the many voices analyzing current events, discussing historical contexts, and advocating for change we find college students. It’s important that we continue to engage in dialogues around difficult topics, but that can feel daunting especially during the holidays. In the spirit of fostering dinner table conversations, we are bringing together students for a Thanksgiving themed panel. We will tackle topics such as free expression on college campuses and civil disagreement.
This November 15th, join us at Washington University in St. Louis for a student-led discussion on free expression on college campuses hosted by the Division of Student Affairs and sponsored by PEN America. Our program will begin with a catered reception followed by a panel of six students who will be challenged to answer prompts and examine different perspectives on campus free expression and civil disagreement.
This event is open to Washington University students, sta, faculty, and the wider St. Louis community. Capacity is limited, so please register as soon as possible. If you have any questions, please contact us at a.j.franklin@wustl.edu. This project is funded by PEN America.
