Fighting for Flourishing: From Girls’ Boxing to Community Co-operatives

Tuesday, February 28, 2023 | 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM

From direct action to structural new alignment, there are many different ways of approaching social change. Join Heather Cameron as she explores different ways to start and sustain social change. From Berlin boxing gyms, girls’ clubs in informal settlements outside Nairobi and Cape Town, Northern Afghanistan Teacher’s colleges, to high-tech seminar rooms of research universities, and finally in U.S. communities fighting back against extractive capital.

This presentation is part of our Brown School Curriculum Showcase.
