To provide context on the rise of Community Remembrance Projects across Missouri (in partnership with the Equal Justice Initiative), Professor Geoff Ward from the Department of African and African American Studies will discuss the extensive history of racial violence in Missouri, its legacies and this increasing effort towards redress, including the recent establishment of a St. Louis Community Remembrance Project Coalition.
