Dinner & Dialogue: 'Open Borders and the Right to Exclude'

Wednesday, April 10 | 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM

Danforth University Center, 234
6475 Forsyth, St. Louis, Missouri 63130

Discussants: Zachary Bowersox (Political Science) and Akshan deAlwis (Philosophy)
Moderator: Ron Mallon (Philosophy)

Can a nation be morally obligated to adopt an open border policy?  On what basis can a country choose to exclude migrants attempting to enter their country? Can a country reject refugees from entering their country?

Join us for discussion, with dinner provided by Seoul Taco.  All are welcome!

The Dinner & Dialogue series is part of WashU's Civil Society Initiative, which is devoted to the theory and practice of responsible democratic citizenship, of which reasoning about value questions, individually and with others, is an essential part.  Any questions about this event or the Civil Society Initiative may be addressed to Allan Hazlett at ahazlett@wustl.edu
