To kick off the strategic plan, the Office of the Provost and the Office of the Dean of the School of Medicine invite faculty, staff, students and other members of our campus community to a panel discussion and reception around Digital Transformation.
8:45 a.m. – Coffee and check-in
9 a.m. – Philip R.O. Payne, strategic planning lead for digital transformation, will facilitate a panel discussion with WashU leaders and innovators, followed by Q&A
10-11 a.m. – Reception
This is primarily an in-person event, but a virtual simulcast will be available on Zoom.

Philip R.O. Payne, PhD, FACMI, FAMIA, FAIMBE, FIAHSI, is the founding director of the Institute for Informatics (I2) at Washington University in St. Louis, where he also serves as the Janet and Bernard Becker Professor and Professor of Computer Science and Engineering. Previously, Payne was Professor and Chair of the Department of Biomedical Informatics at The Ohio State University.
Payne is an internationally recognized leader in the field of clinical research informatics (CRI) and translational bioinformatics (TBI). His research portfolio is actively supported by a combination of NCATS, NLM, and NCI grants and contracts, as well as a variety of awards from both nonprofit and philanthropic organizations.
