Wednesday, May 11, 2022 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM
About this Event
The COVID-19 pandemic has had unprecedented impacts on the mental health of America’s youth and families and has exacerbated the significant mental health challenges that existed prior to the pandemic. The Surgeon General’s recent Advisory on Protecting Youth Mental Health calls for a swift and coordinated response to this crisis as the nation continues to battle COVID-19. What is our current Federal response to this crisis?
In this webinar, Blau will describe current initiatives of the US Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) to help children and youth. He will also describe related initiatives of the Administration and Congress and will outline steps to fully address youth mental health challenges across the country.
This program is presented in partnership with the American Academic of Social Work and Social Welfare.
