The Center for Community Health Partnership & Research is teaming up with the Harvey A. Friedman Center for Aging and Institute of Clinical and Translational Sciences’ Aging Clinical Research Consortium for this edition of Pitch Partners: Community-Academic Partnerships Addressing Intersectional Issues in Aging.
Assuring that older adults live healthy and productive lives calls for innovative approaches. Collaboration between citizens, community organizations, health organizations and universities is key to the successful provision of services, interventions and treatment. At Pitch Partners, community and university partners have the opportunity to pitch health-related project ideas in order to identify potential partners and receive critical feedback.
Five-minute pitch-style presentations are provided for the four project ideas selected. Teams can use a variety of visual media, including but not limited to slides and videos. After pitches, there is a 5 to 10 minutes Q&A from a panel, with a mixture of backgrounds and expertise, and audience members. We dedicate the last 30 minutes of the event to networking to share insights on the project ideas.
