Peter Biehl, Professor of Anthropology, Vice Provost and Dean of Graduate Studies at UC Santa Cruz, will deliver a Colloquium Speech at WashU Anthropology. The presentation is titled "The End of Çatalhöyük and Archaeology in the Time of Climate Change." The talk summarizes 20 years of excavation and research at the UNESCO World Heritage site of Çatalhöyük, Turkey, featuring rapid environmental events and long-term social changes in the Near East, 9000-7500 years ago.
