About this Event
Join us for the February meeting of the WashU Data Users Group. Brad Averbeck, computer systems manager for Campus Facilities, will be giving a talk about integrating drone imagery and survey data in Enterprise GIS. By creating an enterprise GIS, Campus Facilities has been able to leverage spatial data to accelerate decision making. Instead of it taking hours to look through documents to locate utilities, they can easily pull up a map to understand the current state of the environment and make a decision. Having a good enterprise GIS has allowed Campus Facilities to get campus survey data into its GIS which they can leverage when processing drone imagery and provides a single source of truth for accurate spatial data on campus.
Free and open to all, pre-registration required.
