Beautiful, but Labyrinthine: The Care and Storage of Fictional Books

Thursday, July 30, 2020 | 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Virtual Event

What do curators do when they can’t be in the library? After organizing her own books for the fourth time, Curator of Rare Books Cassie Brand dreams of well-organized stacks and reads novels about libraries. Join Cassie as she explores fictional libraries created to by labyrinths, including libraries found in "The Name of the Rose," "The City of Dreaming Books" and "Shadow of the Wind" and discovers what these fictional depictions tell us about our own libraries.

Please register by July 29 to receive the Zoom link for this event.

This was an interesting session. I love books and I had read the Carlos Ruiz Zafon series so I thought the session may be of interest to me and it was.
