An Evening with Nnedi Okorafor

Award-winning author, Nnedi Okorafor, will be coming to Washington University in St. Louis to talk about her writing journey within the Sci-Fi genre.

This will be a moderated discussion. Books will be available for purchase, courtesy of Left Bank Books; those can be signed at the event by the author.

Speaker Information

Nnedi Okorafor is known for her work within African futurism, having written the Binti novella trilogy, which has won both the Hugo and Nebula awards. She has also written for Marvel comics, most notably the Shuri series and Wakanda Forever. Okorafor is currently working with HBO for a TV adaptation of her novel, Who Fears Death.  

Nnedi holds a PhD (literature) and two MAs (journalism and literature). She lives with her daughter Anyaugo and family in Phoenix, Arizona.
